A Fanciful Twist's 8th Annual Virtual MAD TEA Party Extra special, as it is the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland ♥

Have you heard?
It is time for a party!
Not just any party, A Fanciful Twist's 8th annual Mad Tea Party!
Children, I am afraid you will be on your own this weekend. There is a function I can not possibly miss. There are connections to be made and recipes to learn. Not suitable at all for young children.

PARTY Time!!!!

Shine up your fanciest dress shoes

Grab your quickest magical convenance

You want to arrive early as there is always great demand for the delicious treats.

What are your favorite dishes to find at a party?

Do you like dips, pastries, finger sandwiches or quirky or unusual fare like wild game, small country ethnic dishes, or snails?

See my Pinterest board.

I hear the finest chefs are bringing secret recipes.

The clock is ticking.                                     What shall I wear?

I have heard there may be secret passages and short cuts between party locations.

I seem to remember special treats to make one grow and shrink as needed.

Now, how shall we begin our journey?

Which white rabbit should I follow?

I hope there will be directions along the way.

I am worried about those shape changing treats. I am imagining being made taller.

          or BLUER

or made over NEWER

If I eat the wrong mushrooms

What if....

!!!!!!!!
confession: I love this doll

Comment with the name of any book that is a spin off or unrelated "new" version of Alice's adventures no matter how bizarre.

Leave a comment with a link to your Mad Tea Party if you have a post.

Then pop back over and thank Ms. Vanessa for the most wonderful summer party!

  11. Well, I only know the name of the first movie pictured...it is Hocus Pocus. it was filmed in Salem, MA. I grew up in the next town over, lived in Salem a few times and now live just a few towns over.

  21. How on earth did you get a picture of me in my fairy suit??? It appears I ate the wrong mushrooms. :) I love your tea party with all the wonderful giveaways! Let's see... I recognize Nanny McPhee Returns... and one of my favorite treats - Marshmellow Heart Tea, of course! Oh man, the gift shop - I wasn't expecting my style treats there! I LOVVEEE the turquoise I can do all things through Christ purse!!! It's now on my Santa wish list. I, too, am a bookaholic, or a new phrase I've read... a bibliophile... that sounds kind of creepy to me... I think I like bookaholic better! How about A New Alice in the Old Wonderland by Anna M. Richards? Thanks so much for dropping by for tea at my party, too!

God bless and Happy Unbirthday to you,

  22. Hi, Laura
My! You must be channeling Alice with all of the giveaways! Okay. One of the movies is 'Hocus Pocus'; 'The Dragon of Cripple Creek' by Troy Howell has many Wonderland overtones as can be read by an interview on troyhowellstudio.com; The other movie is 'Witches of Eastwick'; and I like the Pink Super Bling Diamond Rhinestone shoulder bag purse and I am in the United States...Wow that was a mouthful to remember!
Loved your party! Great dolls, wonderful goodies, fun time!
