investigator Charlie Cameron’s office. Mark Hamilton believes he knows who has
taken his daughter. And why.
Against his better
judgment, Charlie takes the case—and when bodies are discovered, he suspects
this may not be an isolated crime.
Is there a serial killer whose work has gone
undetected for decades? Is baby Lily his latest victim?
Charlie won’t be able
to give up on this case. Memories and guilt from his childhood won’t let him…

This book will be appreciated by True Crime readers, even though it is fiction. Viewers of such shows as Law & Order and Criminal minds will also be drawn in to this darkly engaging tale.
A man, tormented by his own past experience and perceived failures turns his back on everything his family desired for his future.
Solving one missing person's case sets him up in a situation where he can be isolated and choose only the cases he hand picks. It places him among his few friends, who he doesn't always see eye to eye with.
Taking on the case of Baby Lily breaks all the rules and forces Charlie to face his own inner demons.
I usually read lighter crime fare, but this book called to me an would not let go. At times I felt dragged down into the seedier side of life, but instead of suffocating, I also found some redeeming value.
This is the first I have read of Owen Mullen's work but I believe I will venture again to the dark side if he is telling the tale.
