Deputy Finn is feeling more in his comfort zone, both as a law officer in a small southern town, and as a man with interest in Kenni beyond being his boss.
If you have not read the previous books in this series I strongly suggest you grab them as well but you can read this as a stand alone. There is so much going on that you won't have time to miss what came before. Did I mention Kenni's meddling mama?
