I finished reading this author`s book Tammy just before this, so to be honest, I only skimmed the final few pages. I knew I would be crying before it was over.
Darcy is the story of a dog no one wanted. Or if they did, they could not see past her individuality to love her. Until Liane and Lee.
To be honest, they went about adopting her entirely the wrong way. I do not recommend this method for anyone wishing to add a member to their family. Sadly, mainly for an animal, this could have ended up horribly wrong. The book does show you that shelters often do not know the `` whole story.`` I give Darcy so much credit for all she overcame and was willing to experience.

This is a book for dog lovers. There are parts that will make you smile, others that might make you angry, and an ending that, like all dog lives, will bring you to tears.
The author has an easy going, conversational style. She obviously cares about animals and never had the chance as a child to learn the proper way to take responsibility for one. Liane does the best she can.
This is a very emotional read.
